Lykke Li

I discovered Lykke Li just today when I read about her in the Sunday Times. After a bit of research I discovered that she is quite unusual indeed. I have met many Swedish people in my time and generally they are very relaxed and content people, but Lykke Li does seem to have a real drive to further her career, which may even involve not living in Stockholm, Sweden. She is considering London, but my money is on her returning to New York, where she first released her album.

Lykke Li was raised by artistic parents (her mother was a photographer, her father is a musician) and lived in Portugal for five years, and spent winters in Nepal and India. At one point, she worked as a dancer on Swedish TV shows.
